A modern redesign of an existing dwelling, to create a more usable space within a modern aesthetic.

Project Description

In July 2021 I was commissioned to redesign the existing detached dwelling configuring the ground floor living space into a modern open plan usable space as the current layout was not functional for modern living. I refined the design to incorporate their vision while prioritizing functionality with a striking contemporary design.

Following finalization, the planning was submitted and approved in June 2022 further applications were presented to the local authority to agree the conditions attached to the approval and approved in September 2022. I then developed detailed construction documentation, which received Building Control approval in December 2022. Since obtaining planning and building control the clients were happy to discuss the works with local builders and project management the development themselves.
