Redesign and extensions for an existing dwelling, to create a contemporary home for modern living.

Project Description

In July 2023 I was commissioned to redesign the existing detached dwelling configuring the ground floor living space into a modern open plan usable space as the current layout was not functional for modern living. I refined the design to incorporate their vision while prioritizing functionality with a striking contemporary design. The design also included a new first floor extension and a new two storey side extension replacing the existing garage and store

Following finalization, the planning was submitted and approved in September 2023 further applications were presented to the local authority to agree the conditions attached to the approval and approved in November 2024. I then developed detailed construction documentation, which received Building Control approval in February2025. Since obtaining planning and building control from the clients the approved documents have been issued to local contractors for pricing with the view of starting the proposed development very soon.
